1. Why did the name change?

"Exploring Difference and Power” conveys the scope and purpose of this Way more clearly to students and instructors than “Engaging Diversity” did.

2. Will the Way-ED name change to Way-EDP on Explore Courses affect me?

No, the name change will not impact individual students’ degree progress. You can fulfill your Way-ED requirement by taking an ED or EDP course.

3. I previously took a course for ED, do I need to do anything?

No. Courses previously taken for ED will fulfill the EDP requirement.

4. Why does my Degree Progress Report still state ED?

The EDP name change was phased in, so ED should not appear on your Degree Progress Report although there may be other documents or references to the Way that may not be updated yet.

5. My instructor’s syllabus states that the course fulfills ED, is this a problem?

No. Courses certified for ED fulfill the EDP requirement. You can suggest that the instructor update their syllabus.
